Although the damage and injuries are unfortunate, I remember experiencing earthquakes growing up and loving the thrill and uncertainty it brought with it. I hope to never experience one so devastating that it leaves so many fatalities, but I do like the occasional rumble. I always found the interaction of tectonic plates and geology extremely fascinating. I still enjoy watching a documentary or two about them from time to time. The wonders of the world are thrilling.

Earthquake in Burma
There was an earthquake in Burma where at least 12 people are thought to be dead and many more injured. It was a magnitude 6.8 and hit about 70 miles north of the second largest city of Mandalay about 10km down. Infrastructures collapsed as well as temples near the city. March 2011 was the last prominent earthquake where at least 75 people died.
