Attempt #2: elephant head. I had 4 attempts at making a plaster mold out of this piece. First the plaster wasn't the correct consistency. Then there was too much texture in the face and trunk so it caused too many undercuts in the second plaster. The third plaster attempt I was more patient with. The plaster turned out well but the pieces cracked in the wrong places when I was trying to remove them. The last time I thought I had perfectly. I meticulously made an 8 piece mold and was sure I was going to finally get some good results. Unfortunately, removing the plaster was once again an issue and the whole thing fell apart. I was pleased with the plaster's consistency, but disappointed that all the time and persistence I put into this project left me with nothing.
